NOPD to Re-Book Suspect on Additional Charges in Sixth District Shooting

The NOPD will re-book Ronnie Davis (pictured, black male, DOB: 03-04-1995) with additional charges in connection with the ongoing investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting incident on April 29, 2022, in the 3200 block of Magazine Street that left six people injured.

Through investigation, NOPD Sixth District detectives located a suspect vehicle in this investigation later that day in the Second District. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver of the vehicle, identified as Davis, was detained. A search of the vehicle revealed two firearms. Davis was arrested on two counts of felon in possession of a firearm.

As the investigation progressed, detectives developed and positively identified Davis as one of the perpetrators in the shooting incident. Davis will be re-booked on six counts of attempted murder.
