Members of the New Orleans Department are investigating a Homicide that left a 39-year-old man dead. The offense occurred shortly before 11:30 P.M., in the 2000 block of Louisa Street.
According to investigators Fifth District officers responded to a call of a shooting and upon their arrival, the officers located the victim inside of his vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Emergency Medical Technicians pronounced the man dead on scene.
Detectives are in the process of gathering information to identify the person(s) responsible for the Homicide and a motive.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim and determine official cause of death.
