The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred in the Third District.
Around 7:48 p.m., officers responded to a call reporting shots fired in the 4900 block of Press Drive.
Upon arrival, they discovered an male victim suffering from an undetermined number of gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
No further information is available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will determine official cause of death and release the victims’ names upon completion of autopsy and notification of families.
