NOPD Announces Violent Crime Arrests, Clearances Between May 29-June 4

Listed below are arrests or clearances by warrant obtained between May 29-June 4. 2022, in violent crime investigations by the NOPD:

Homicide

  • NOPD Homicide Unit detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Leslea Grinstead (pictured, black female, DOB: 07-01-1998) for one count of second-degree murder. The warrant comes in the investigation of a homicide on May 16 in the 2000 block of Poland Avenue. Anyone with information that can aid in this investigation is asked to call Homicide Det. Nickolas Davis at 504-658-5300 or to call anonymously to Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111.
  • NOPD Homicide Unit detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for a 17-year-old juvenile black male (not pictured) for one count of second-degree murder. The warrant comes in the investigation of a homicide on April 14 in the 3700 block of Mansfield Drive. Anyone with information that can aid in this investigation is asked to call Homicide Det. Shooting

  • On May 29, NOPD Eighth District officers arrested Frederick Boudreaux (pictured, black male, DOB: 12-17-1988) for aggravated second-degree battery, felon in possession of a firearm, illegal carrying of a weapon and possession of MDMA and marijuana with intent to distribute. The arrested came in the investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting on May 22 in the 500 block of Royal Street.

Armed Robbery /Carjacking

  • NOPD Fourth District detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Malcolm Solomon (pictured, black male, DOB: 11-29-2001) for one count each of armed robbery, illegal use of a firearm and theft of a motor vehicle. The warrant comes in the investigation of an armed robbery on April 22 in the 1400 block of Newton Street. Anyone with information that can aid in this investigation is asked to call Fourth District detectives at 504-658-6040 or to call anonymously to Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111.
  • On June 2, NOPD First District officers arrested two 13-year-old juvenile black males (not pictured) for attempted armed robbery, aggravated assault, illegal possession of a firearm, aggravated criminal damage to property, criminal damage to property and illegal use of a weapon. The arrests came in connection with an incident on June 2 in the 1600 block of Paul Morphy Street.
