NOPD Investigating Homicide in Yet-To-Be Determined Location

NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD is investigating a homicide by cutting that occurred in a yet to be determined location. 

At around 2:00 a.m., NOPD First District officers responded to an aggravated battery by cutting call after an unknown female was dropped off at University Medical Center suffering with multiple stab wounds.  The victim was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. 

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.  No additional details are available at this time. 

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
