UPDATE: NOPD Arrests Wanted Suspect, Seeks Vehicle and Second Suspect in Fifth District Shooting

UPDATE: Tierra Wright turned herself in to NOPD Fifth District officers on June 10. The driver of the pictured suspect vehicle remains wanted.

ORIGINAL: The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Tierra Wright (pictured, black female, DOB: 04-09-1998) in the investigation of a shooting on June 3, 2021 in the 6200 block of North Robertson Street. Detectives are also seeing a vehicle believed to have been utilized in the commission of this incident.

Through investigation, NOPD Fifth District detectives learned that the pictured dark-colored newer model Dodge Charge arrived in the area occupied by an unknown black male driver and female passenger positively identified as Wright.

Detectives determined that Wright discharged a firearm during this incident, while the unknown male driver fired multiple times at adult females and an infant at the location. Both subjects fled the scene in the vehicle, which is believed to have a Louisiana handicapped license plate.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Wright on one count of principle to aggravated battery.
