NOPD Identifies Suspect Wanted in First District Shooting Investigation

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Floyd Simon (pictured, black male, DOB; 08-19-1992) in the investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting on June 6, 2021 in the 2500 block of Conti Street.

Through investigation, NOPD First District detectives developed and positively identified Simon as the perpetrator in this incident who allegedly shot the victim and fled the scene. He is wanted on charges of aggravated battery by shooting and felon in possession of a firearm.
