The NOPD Needs Assistance Identifying Theft Subject

New Orleans - The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a subject believed to be involved in a theft incident that occurred on June 9, 2020.

On June 9th, the victim placed her cell phone down on a self-check register while checking out her items at “WalMart” located in the 4000 block of Behrman Place.  The victim accidentally exited the store without the phone, but immediately returned and discovered it was missing.  During a review of surveillance video, the pictured subject was seen placing the cell phone into his pocket and exiting the store without making an attempt to turn the phone into customer service.

The subject appears to be wearing a blue shirt with white short sleeves.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the pictured unknown subject is asked to contact Fourth District detectives at 504-658-6040 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
