NOPD Looking for Person of Interest in Stabbing Incident

New Orleans – The NOPD is looking for Mario Mateo (pictured, DOB: 11/8/79) who is believed to have information regarding a stabbing incident that occurred on June 9, 2020.

At around 7:30 p.m., two people (victim #1, victim #2) were involved in a verbal altercation in the 1200 block of Franklin Avenue.  During the altercation, victim #1 was allegedly threatened by Ricardo Hernandez (pictured below, DOB: 2-23-56) with a knife.  In addition, an unknown subject reportedly stabbed victim #2 before fleeing the area.  Hernandez was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

NOPD Fifth District detectives have developed Mateo as a person of interest and believe he maybe able to help locate the assailant.
