Suspect Arrested in Seventh District Residence Burglary

The NOPD quickly arrested Demond Turner (DOB: 10-29-1996) on June 12 in connection with a simple burglary that occurred in the 6200 block of Hayne Boulevard,

During the course of the investigation, Turner was positively identified by the homeowner as the subject he allegedly observed running from his residence and subsequently chased to the intersection of Lamb Street and Kuebel Drive. Further investigation showed that the homeowner’s residence had been illegally entered prior to seeing the subject fleeing from the home.

Turner was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
