Subject Sought in Fifth District Aggravated Assault

The NOPD is seeking to locate and identify a subject in the investigation of an aggravated assault reported in the 1500 block of Franklin Avenue on June 11, 2019.

At about 10:45 p.m., the pictured subject was reportedly involved in a verbal argument with the victim in the parking lot of the location. During the argument, the subject allegedly produced a firearm and attempted to fire a shot at the victim. However, the weapon reportedly malfunctioned. The subject then allegedly fled the location on foot, headed north on Franklin Avenue.

The subject is described as an unknown black male, believed to be in is late 20s to early 30s, last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jean shorts.
