NOPD Arrests Suspect in Seventh District Business Burglary

The NOPD has arrested Rondell Moseley (pictured, DOB: 12-08-1994) in connection with a business burglay that occurred in the Seventh District.

At about 2:41 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2019, a business burglary occurred at the Speed Racer gas station in the 8000 block of Downman Road, in which an SUV was used to commit the burglary.

During the course of investigation, NOPD Seventh District detectives learned that the SUV used in this incident was found to have been reported stolen from the 1500 block of Saint Denis Street on May 15.

As the investigation progressed, NOPD Seventh District detectives were able to positively identify Moseley as one of the perpetrators believed to be responsible for this incident. Warrants were then obtained for Moseley arrest.

On Wednesday, June 5, Moseley was arrested without incident and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for simple burglary and illegal possession of stolen things.

Investigation into these incidents remains active and ongoing, with additional arrests expected to be made.
