Suspect, Vehicle Wanted in Attempted Armed Robbery on South Carrollton Avenue

The NOPD is searching for a male suspect involved in an attempted armed robbery incident that occurred in the 3100 block of South Carrollton Avenue.

The incident happened on June 1, 2018. At about 9:48 p.m., an unknown male subject drove a dark-colored Chevrolet Malibu (with an unknown temporary tag) into the parking lot of a Wendy’s restaurant.

The suspect then exited the vehicle, entered the restaurant, and began trying to remove the cash register drawer while simultaneously removing a handgun from the waistband of his pants. The perpetrator then fled the location after being unable to remove the drawer. The suspect was seen fleeing in a vehicle westbound on Oleander Street.

The suspect is described as being at least six feet tall, dark-skinned with short gray hair. He is also described as beginning to bald on top with a clean shave and was seen wearing a white t-shirt and jeans during the incident.
