The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Kendrick Guy (aka Kendrick Pritchett) (DOB: 09-16-1999) in connection with an auto theft that occurred on May 4, 2018 in the 1500 block of Mirabeau Avenue.
The victim told police that about 9:45 p.m., she parked her 2008 Honda Accord bearing a Louisiana temporary license tag in front of a restaurant in the 1500 block of Mirabeau Avenue, leaving the engine running and the vehicle unlocked. When she returned to the location, she found her vehicle to be missing. The victim said that witness told her that an unknown black male entered the vehicle and drove away from the location while the victim was inside of the restaurant.
The vehicle was located on May 6, 2018, after it was involved in a police pursuit that began in the Fifth District and ended in the Seventh District. During the pursuit, the driver of the vehicle lost control and struck a cement barrier near the intersection of Downman Road and Hayne Boulevard, at which time five black male occupants of the vehicle exited. The subjects, among which was a male identified as Guy, were detained and questioned. Guy was later released, pending further investigation.
