NOPD Arrest Suspect in Simple Burglary Incident

NOPD French Quarter Task Force and Louisiana State Police assisted in the arrest of Ahmad Duplessis (DOB: 11-05-1979) after he burglarized a victim’s vehicle on Saturday, June 09, 2018.

The victim left his Ford Explorer unlocked in the 900 block of Governor Nicholls Street. The arrested subject reportedly entered the victim’s vehicle and removed a backpack. Witnesses immediately notified authorities of this incident. Officers arrived on scene and apprehended Duplessis without further incident.

Duplessis was transported to Central Lockup where he was charged with auto burglary, possession of stolen things and possession of burglary tools by a convicted felon.
