During the past week NOPD officers and the Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS) unit arrested 23 adults and five juveniles for such offenses as homicide, attempted murder, rape, human trafficking, aggravated assault, armed robbery, home invasion, forgery, and possession of narcotics and firearms.

 

June 8

The VOWS Unit and Louisiana Division of Probation and Parole arrested Earl Norman (DOB: 10-14-1989) for human trafficking, and trafficking a child for sexual purposes. He was also arrested for being a felon with a firearm, (Smith & Wesson .40 caliber handgun) and a probation violation for possession with intent to distribute cocaine. Norman was also wanted by Jefferson Parish. He was apprehended in the 500 block of South Alexander Street in the Third District.

 

Dashawn Harris (DOB: 6-9-1999) for attempted second degree murder and discharging a firearm during a violent crime. The incident happened on June 3, 2017, in the 6100 block of South Laverne Street, and Harris was arrested in the Seventh District.

 

Glenn Morgan (DOB: 4-9-1990) for attempted second-degree homicide, aggravated second-degree battery and illegal use of a weapon. The incident occurred on June 7, 2017 in the 12000 block of North I-10 Service Road.

 

Lamar Johnson (DOB: 1-2-1988) for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was arrested during a traffic stop at the intersection of Coveview Court and Basinview Court.

 

D’Angelo McSwain (DOB: 11-28-1982) for aggravated assault. The incident and the arrest took place in the 7900 block of Sandpiper Drive.

 

Andrelena Harris (DOB: 5-10-1975) for aggravated assault. The incident and the arrest took place in the 7900 block of Sandpiper Drive.

 

Samuel Taylor (DOB: 12-25-1991) for two counts of simple battery – domestic; two fugitive attachments; and three court capias warrants. Taylor was apprehended during a traffic stop in the 7000 block of Crowder Boulevard by Seventh District officers.

 

Leonard Reed (DOB: 12-10-1981) for four counts of forgery, three counts of issuing worthless checks, one count of attempted issuing of worthless checks and one count of possession of stolen things. The incident and the arrest took place in the 7000 block of Read Boulevard in the Seventh District.

 

 

June 9

Joshua James (DOB: 4-20-2004) for armed robbery with a firearm. The incident occurred at the intersection of Dauphine Street and Kerlerec Street on May 25, 2017, in the Eighth District. He was apprehended in the 3000 block of Law Street.

 

Rushonika Duncan (DOB: 4-27-1988) for aggravated battery by cutting. The incident occurred at the intersection of Tulane Avenue and South Broad Street on May 20, 2017, and Duncan was apprehended in the 2600 block of Gravier Street in the First District.

 

George Kelly (DOB: 7-23-1975) for home invasion, aggravated second degree battery, simple battery, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The incident occurred in the 2800 block of South Roman Street on June 1, 2017, and he was arrested in the 3300 Block of Baronne Street in the Sixth District.

 

Jeffrey Krueger (DOB:  11-4-1981) for aggravated assault. The incident and the arrest took place in the 6700 block of Wuerple Street in the Third District.

 

 

June 10

Jules Williams (DOB: 9-27-1967) for homicide. The incident took place at Loyola Avenue and Calliope Street and Williams was apprehended near the intersection of Canal Street and Claiborne Avenue.

 

McKinley Mandeville (DOB:  7-26-1978) for domestic criminal damage. The incident and the arrest occurred in the Third District in the 2900 block of Mandeville Street.

 

The NOPD arrested two 15-year-old males for armed robbery. The incident took place in the 6000 block of Bullard Avenue and they were apprehended in the Seventh District at the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Read Boulevard.

 

NOPD Fourth District officers arrested a 15-year-old male for illegal carrying of a weapon. He was apprehended at 2 a.m. on General De Gaulle Drive and Cypress Acres Drive carrying a rifle on his bicycle. He was also cited for a curfew violation.

 

 

June 11

Randy Holmes (DOB: 07/04/1982) for five auto burglaries and possessing stolen property. He was apprehended at Jackson Avenue and Chestnut Street in the Sixth District.

 

 

June 12

The VOWS Unit arrested Carl Joseph Camp (DOB: 7/3/87) for third degree rape. The incident took place on May 8, 2017, and Camp was arrested in the 1400 block of Tita Street in the Fourth District.

 

The VOWS Unit arrested Adonis Dudley (DOB: 9/30/1975) for attempted second degree murder. The incident occurred at the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Dale Street on May 19, 2017, and he was apprehended in the 900 block of Poydras Street in the Eighth District. Dudley was also arrested for a simple assault incident that occurred in the 6700 block of Chef Menteur Highway on November 5, 2016, in the Seventh District.

 

Thomas Drollinger (DOB: 8-2-1963) for aggravated battery. The incident and the arrest took place at Decatur Street and St. Louis Street in the Eighth District.

 

Williams Lidell (DOB: 1-21-1954) for aggravated assault.  The incident took place in the 4600 block of Chef Menteur Highway and he was arrested at the scene.

 

Nakia Shondrika Gaines (DOB:  2/7/1987) for forgery, illegal possession of stolen things, and bank fraud. The incident took place in the 5500 block of Magazine Street and Gaines turned herself in at the Second District station.

 

 

June 13

Terrell Muse (DOB: 5-16-1993) for possession of heroin and crack cocaine, possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm while in possession of narcotics. The incident and the arrest occurred near the intersection of Dumaine Street and North Dorgenois Street in the First District.

 

Alfred Lankster (DOB: 12-3-1984) for battery. The incident took place on June 12, 2017, in the 500 block of Royal Street and the perpetrator was apprehended at St. Ann and Decatur streets by Eighth District officers.

 

 

June 14

Alfred Holmes (DOB: 3-13-1984) for burglary. The incident took place in the 500 block of Fourth Street on June 11, 2017, and Holmes was apprehended by Sixth District officers.

 

NOPD arrested two 15-year-old males for assault. The incident, which involved the juveniles shooting paintballs, took place in the 100 block of Berkley in the Fourth District.
