NOPD officers and the Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS) unit apprehended 30 adults and 10 juveniles during the past week. The suspects were arrested for offenses including attempted murder, armed robbery, aggravated battery by shooting, auto theft, and possession of narcotics and firearms.                                     

 

June 1

Christopher Mukes (DOB: 5-27-89) for possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine.  He was detained by Eighth District officers for a traffic violation at the intersection of Elysian Fields and St. Claude Avenue and arrested at the same location.

 

Quince Williams (DOB: 2-8-81) for possession of controlled and dangerous substance (CDS) Schedule II (crack cocaine) with the intent to distribute; possession of controlled and dangerous substance Schedule IV (ecstasy) with the Intent to distribute; possession of a firearm and CDS; and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was arrested at North Roman and Columbus Street after a pedestrian stop by First District officers.

 

Furnell Luckett (DOB: 10-4-1989) for four armed robberies that took place throughout the Sixth District from May 20-27, 2017. Luckett was also arrested for an armed robbery that took place on July 27, 2016 in the 1200 block of First Street. 

 

Anthony Taylor (DOB: 12-25-1994) for armed robberies that took place in the 900 block of Dauphine (May 21) and 900 block of St. Peter (June 1) in the Eighth District. He was arrested in the 600 block of North Rampart.

 

Barre Joseph (DOB:  4-25-66) for illegal carrying of a firearm. He was arrested at the intersection of North Broad and Duels in the Third District.

 

Gavin McCullum (DOB: 9-21-91) for auto theft. The vehicle was stolen from the 2300 block of Iberville in July 2016 and McCullum was arrested at Paris Avenue and Agriculture Street in the Third District.

 

Taneisha Dapremont (DOB: 8-25-92) for auto theft. The vehicle was stolen from the 2300 block of Iberville in July 2016 and Dapremont was arrested at Paris Avenue and Agriculture Street in the Third District.

 

 

June 2, 2017

Dennis Truvia (DOB: 10-29-1991) for attempted simple robbery and flight from an officer. The initial incident occurred in the 2100 block of South Claiborne Avenue and Truvia was apprehended nearby.

 

NOPD arrested two 15-year-olds for armed robbery. The incident occurred at Grand Route St. John and Mystery Street and the two juveniles were apprehended nearby.

 

 

June 3

Christian Hickman-Staudt (DOB: 8-3-1997) for auto theft, possession of a stolen auto, possession of marijuana, attempted escape, resisting an officer, and criminal damage to city property. The incident and the arrest took place in the 13000 block of North I-10 Service Road.

 

Quinnon Adams (DOB: 11-02-1983) for two counts of aggravated battery by shooting and illegal use of a weapon. The incident took place in the 2900 block of Upperline and Adams was apprehended in the 2800 block of Baronne Street.

 

 

June 4

Bryson Allen (DOB: 02-6-91) was arrested for illegal carrying of a firearm and possession of or dealing in firearms with obliterated numbers or marks. The arrest occurred in the 3400 block of Cambronne Street. During the arrest, officers located a Taurus 9mm with an obliterated serial number and a stolen S & W .38 special on both subjects.

 

Tre Edwards (DOB: 2-25-94) was arrested for possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies and illegal possession of stolen firearms. The arrest occurred during a traffic stop at the intersection of South Jefferson Davis and Martin Luther King Boulevard. During the arrest, officers located a Taurus 9mm with an obliterated serial number and a stolen S & W .38 special on both subjects.

 

Johnquize Ealy (DOB: 3-8-94) was arrested for illegal possession of stolen things and distribution or possession of drugs listed in schedule IV controlled dangerous substance. The arrest took place during a traffic stop at the intersection of South Jefferson Davis and Martin Luther King Boulevard. He was an occupant in a vehicle that was reported stolen from Kenner, Louisiana, three days ago.

 

Jermaine Toussaint (DOB: 12-28-1993) was arrested for simple possession of marijuana and illegal possession of a firearm and stolen things. The arrest took place during a traffic stop at the intersection of South Jefferson Davis and Martin Luther King Boulevard. He was an occupant in a vehicle that was reported stolen from Kenner, Louisiana, three days ago.

 

Nakia Harris (DOB: 12-16-94) was arrested for illegal possession of stolen things.  The arrest took place during a traffic stop at the intersection of South Jefferson Davis and Martin Luther King Boulevard. He was an occupant in a vehicle that was reported stolen from Kenner, Louisiana, three days ago.

June 5

The VOWS Unit arrested Latoya Bonner (DOB:  2/26/1985) for armed robbery. The incident took place in the 1600 block of North Villere Street on May 20, 2017, and Bonner was arrested in the 1600 block of Frenchman Street in the Fifth District.

 

Jermaine Morgan (6-26-1993) for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The arrest occurred during a traffic stop at Almonaster Avenue and Higgins Boulevard.

 

Demone Washington (1-19-1995) for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The arrest occurred during a traffic stop at Almonaster Avenue and Higgins Boulevard.

 

Romaro Washington (DOB: 8-27-79) for felon in possession of a firearm, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of domestic abuse battery, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was apprehended in the 13000 block of Sevres in the Seventh District.

 

Louis Hammond (DOB: 9-30-1963) for shoplifting. The incident occurred in the 200 block of North Broad and Hammond was arrested at the scene.

 

 

June 6

Lucious Baker (DOB: 10/19/1987) for  two counts of simple battery – domestic; three counts of simple battery; two counts of unauthorized use of a moveable; and one count each of reckless operation of a vehicle and hit and run driving. He was apprehended in the 7500 block of Wave Drive by Seventh District officers.

 

Michael Neville (DOB: 11-17-1993) possession of crack cocaine, illegal carrying of a weapon while in possession of narcotics and resisting an officer. The incident took place in the 100 block of Royal Street and he was arrested in the 800 block of St. Ann Street.

 

Anthony Taylor (DOB: 12-25-1994) for two attempted armed robberies in the Eighth District. The first incident took place May 21, 2017, in the 900 block of Dauphine Street, and the second incident happened in the 900 block of St. Peter Street on June 1, 2017. Taylor was arrested in the 600 block of North Rampart Street.

 

Dashawn Harris (DOB: 6-9-1999) for attempted second degree murder and discharging a firearm during a violent crime. The incident happened on June 3, 2017, in the 6100 block of South Laverne.

 

Rannell Fields (DOB: 02-25-2000) for four counts of armed robbery with a firearm. The incidents took place in the 4200 block of Walmsley Avenue (June 1, 2017); in the 1700 block of Dante Street (June 2); at the intersection of South Johnson and Upperline streets (June 3); in the 1500 block of Broadway Street (June 3); and in the 4300 block of State Street (June 4).

 

Roland Fields (12-21-1993) for four counts of armed robbery with a firearm. . The incidents took place in the 4200 block of Walmsley Avenue (June 1, 2017); in the 1700 block of Dante Street (June 2); at the intersection of South Johnson and Upperline streets (June 3); in the 1500 block of Broadway Street (June 3); and in the 4300 block of State Street (June 4).

 

NOPD arrested a 16-year-old male, a 15-year old male and a 14-year-old male for four counts of armed robbery with a firearm. The incidents took place in the 4200 block of Walmsley Avenue (June 1, 2017); in the 1700 block of Dante Street (June 2); at the intersection of South Johnson and Upperline streets (June 3); in the 1500 block of Broadway Street (June 3); and in the 4300 block of State Street (June 4).

 

The VOWS Unit arrested a 14-year-old juvenile for attempted armed robbery with a firearm. The incident occurred in the 2700 block of Canal Street on April 23, 2017, and he was apprehended in the 300 block of North White Street.

 

NOPD arrested four juveniles in connection with three armed robberies that occurred May 31- June 2017, including an armed carjacking in the 2600 block of Onzaga Street (May 31); an armed carjacking in the 3000 block of Iberville Street  (June 2); an armed robbery with a gun at the intersection of Grand Route St. John and Mystery streets (June 2) . The individuals arrested for these incidents are:

 

· A 16-year-old juvenile male charged with one count of carjacking in the incident on Onzaga Street.

· A 16-year-old juvenile male charged with one count each of simple battery and armed robbery in the incident at Grand Route St. John and Mystery streets.

· A 14-year-old juvenile male charged with one count each of simple battery and armed robbery in the incident at Grand Route St. John and Mystery streets.

· A 16-year-old juvenile male charged with one count of carjacking in the incident on Onzaga Street, one count of carjacking in the incident on Iberville Street and one count of armed robbery in the incident at Grand Route St. John and Mystery streets.

 

 

June 7

Corey Jenkins (DOB: 3/4/1994) for three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, domestic abuse aggravated assault, and domestic abuse battery. The incident occurred in the 5000 block of North Prieur Street on May 27, 2017. Jenkins was also arrested for possession of marijuana, crack cocaine, and 5 OxyCodone pills. He was arrested in the 3700 block of Ulloa Street in the First District.

 

The VOWS Unit and U.S. Marshals arrested Monique Allen (DOB: 2/19/1988) for aggravated battery by cutting, simple criminal damage to property, and simple battery. The incident occurred in the 7500 block of Shorewood Drive on May 28, 2017, and he was arrested at the same location. McGuire was also arrested on three fugitive attachments from Kenner, Gretna, and Jefferson Parish.

 

Alonzo Bowie (DOB:  6/17/1997) for aggravated criminal damage to property. The incident took place in the 4700 block of Stemway Drive on May 30, 2017. Bowie turned himself in at the Seventh District station.

 

The VOWS Unit arrested Robin Bradstreet (DOB: 5/29/1995) for simple burglary. The incident occurred in the 5100 block of Basinview Drive on March 29, 2017. Bradstreet was arrested in the 12000 block of I-10 Service Road in the Seventh District.
