NOPD Seventh District officers arrested Homer Gross (DOB: 7/21/1998) today after he was found to be in possession of a stolen vehicle and keys.
The victim told police on June 21, 2017. At around 11:30 p.m., he entered his residence in the 8400 block of Beechwood and left the keys in his door. Once the victim returned, his vehicle and keys were missing.
At about 12:40 p.m., Seventh District officers spotted Gross operating a stolen vehicle on Majestic Oaks Drive near Selma Street. The subject was then seen by an off duty officer, abandoning the vehicle and running on foot. Gross was then apprehended by Seventh District officers a short distance later.
The subject was found to be in possession of the stolen vehicle and the keys which were both reported stolen.
