Suspect Arrested for Armed Robbery and Carjacking on Bennett & Rankin Street

NOPD Fourth District officers arrested David Griffin (DOB: 2-4-1992) after he robbed a victim at knife-point and took off in the victim's vehicle.

The incident happened on June 20, 2017. At around 11:18 p.m., Griffin reportedly approached a victim’s vehicle and forced his way inside the vehicle while armed with a knife. The subject then held the victim at knife-point and demanded property from the victim. The victim was able to get out of the vehicle. At which time, the subject fled the area in the victim’s vehicle.  Four days later, Griffin turned himself into police. 

He was then was transported into Central Lockup where he was booked with armed robbery and carjacking.
