NOPD Second District officers arrested five individuals for various charges including occupying a stolen vehicle, possessing illegal guns and drugs.
On Sunday (June 4, 2017), General Assignment and DIU units were proactively patrolling throughout the district after a recent string of armed robberies. At about 9:50 p.m., Second District officers observed two suspicious subjects sitting in a vehicle in the 3400 block of Cambronne Street.
Bryson Allen (DOB: 02-6-91) was arrested for illegal carrying of a firearm and possession of or dealing in firearms with obliterated numbers or marks
Tre Edwards (DOB: 2-25-94) was arrested for possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies and illegal possession of stolen firearms.
During the arrest, officers located a Taurus 9mm with an obliterated
serial number and a stolen S & W .38 special on both subjects.
At around 11 p.m., officers also conducted a traffic stop on a stolen Nissan Maxima at the intersection of South Jeff Davis and Martin Luther King Boulevard. Three subjects were occupying the vehicle which was reported stolen from Kenner, Louisiana 3 days ago.
Johnquize Ealy (DOB: 3-8-94) was arrested for illegal possession of stolen things and distribution or possession of drugs listed in schedule IV controlled dangerous substance. Photo unavailable
Jermaine Toussaint (DOB: 12-28-1993) was arrested for simple possession of marijuana and illegal possession of a firearm and stolen things.
Nakia Harris (DOB: 12-16-94) was arrested for illegal possession of stolen things.

During the arrest, officers discovered two Glock .45 and $1600 in
cash on the arrested subjects Ealy and Toussaint.
