NOPD Seeking Suspects in Auto Burglary on Girod Street

The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two subjects believed to be responsible for an auto burglary in the 800 block of Girod street on June 20, 2017.

At about 9:10 a.m. the pictured subjects were observed via video surveillance footage burglarizing a black 2010 Mercedes Benz at the location. Subject #1 entered a nearby business to distract the desk clerk, while, Subject #2 entered the unlocked vehicle. The subjects fled the scene with the victim’s purse and its contents. Both subjects fled the scene on foot, heading south on Girod towards Carondelet Street.

Subject #1 is described as an unknown black male subject with a fair complexion wearing a dark colored t-shirt with light blue jeans and dark colored tennis shoes.

Subject #2 is described as an unknown black male subject with a dark complexion wearing a black baseball cap with white letters at the top, along with a dark colored t-shirt with light colored jeans and grey tennis shoes.
