NOPD Seeking Suspect in Numerous Shopliftings in First District

The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying and locating a suspect believed to be responsible for at least three shoplifting incidents in the First District.

The pictured subject has been linked to three reported shoplifting incidents – at the Rite-Aid pharmacy at 230 N. Broad Street on June 6 and June 13, 2017, and an incident at the Rite-Aid pharmacy at 2669 Canal Street on June 13, 2017.

Detectives have determined that the subject often commits the shopliftings between 8-11 a.m. and is often observed fleeing on foot towards the 100 and 200 blocks of North Dorgenois Street.

While detectives have determined the suspect to be responsible for at least three shopliftings, they are investigating to see if the suspect could be linked to additional incidents.

Anyone with information on this suspect or any of these incidents is asked to contact First District detectives at 504-658-6010. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
