The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying and locating a suspect responsible for a reported armed carjacking in the 4600 block of Dale Street on June 8, 2017, as well as the vehicle reported stolen in this incident.

The victim told police that she was exiting her vehicle – described as a gold 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV bearing Mississippi handicap license plate #DBC0256 – at a residence in the area at about 9:15 p.m. when she was approached by an unidentified black male with a brown complexion, standing approximately 5’6”, and clad in a white t-shirt and blue jeans. The subject allegedly pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded her property. The victim complied and placed her pocketbook in the vehicle. The subject then reportedly fled the location in the victim’s vehicle, heading north on Dale Street.
