NOPD Arrests Three for Possession of Guns and Drugs

NOPD arrested three individuals and confiscated two handguns and 20 bags of heroin yesterday (June 25) in the First District.

At approximately 4:08 p.m. First District officers approached the driver of a silver Dodge Charger in the 1600 block of North Villere for parking on the sidewalk. As officers approached the vehicle they observed the three occupants attempting to place items under their seats.  The occupants were asked to exit the vehicle and officers then conducted a pat-down of the subjects.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Joshua Kinney (DOB: 7-17-89) was found to be in possession of 20 bags of heroin (5.7 grams) of heroin. Officers then conducted a search of the interior of the vehicle and discovered two black semi-automatic handguns under the front seat, including one with an obliterated serial number. The occupant of that seat was Latoya Bonner (DOB: 2-26-85). The passenger in the back seat of the vehicle, Charles Alexander (DOB: 7-13-88), was also placed under arrest for possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
