NOPD Arrests Suspect in Fatal Stabbing at Calliope Street and Loyola Avenue

Just hours after a woman was found fatally stabbed at the intersection of Calliope Street and Loyola Avenue today (June 10, 2017), NOPD Homicide detectives have arrested Jules Williams (DOB: 09-27-1967) in connection with the incident.

At about 5:45 a.m., Sixth District officers responded to a medical call in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive white female lying under the Pontchartrain Expressway and suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

As investigation into the incident progressed, Williams was developed as the perpetrator. An arrest warrant was obtained, and Williams was located and arrested. He has been booked into Central Lockup on a charge of second-degree murder.
