NOPD Seeking Suspect in Fourth District Attempted Simple Kidnapping

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating and identifying a suspect in the investigation of an attempted simple kidnapping on July 28, 2021 in the 4200 block of Woodland Drive.

At about 9:15 p.m. the victim was reportedly walking in the area when an unknown subject parked his vehicle in front of her, blocking her path. The subject then allegedly exited the vehicle, approached and grabbed the victim and slightly pulled her toward his vehicle. The victim reportedly broke free from the subject’s grip and fled the scene.

No photo is available of the suspect, who was described as an unknown black male with a light complexion and medium length bush hairstyle. He is believed to be in his mid-to-late 20s, 5’10” in height with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and black pants. The suspect was seen driving a black older model Honda car (unknown license plate) with dark tinted windows.

Anyone with additional information on this incident is asked to contact NOPD Fourth District detectives at 504-658-6040 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
