NOPD Seeking Subject in Second District Vehicle Burglary, Access Device Fraud

The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying and locating a subject in the investigation of a vehicle burglary and subsequent access device fraud incident on July 7, 2021 in the Second District.

On July 7, the victim discovered he had left his vehicle unlocked and the vehicle’s interior had been ransacked. The victim’s wallet containing several debit/credit cards was reported missing. The victim later discovered an unknown subject (pictured) had made multiple fraudulent transactions with the victim’s credit card at a store in the 8700 block of South Claiborne Avenue.

The subject is described as an unknown black male with a thin build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black Nike hat, red hooded sweatshirt, ripped blue jeans and red shoes. The subject also has a tattoo on his left hand that reads “796.”
