NOPD Investigating a Homicide on Roger Drive in the Seventh District

NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD is investigating a homicide by shooting that occurred today (July 13, 2021) in the 10800 block of Roger Drive.

At around 8:59 a.m., NOPD Seventh District officers responded to a call of aggravated battery by shooting at the location.  Upon arrival, officers found an adult male in a vehicle suffering with multiple gunshot wounds.  EMS pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. 

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.  No additional details are available at this time. 

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
