NOPD Investigating a Domestic Homicide in the Seventh District

NEW ORLEANS - The NOPD is investigating a domestic homicide that occurred today (July 25,2021) in the 7400 block of Crestmont Road.

At around 3:26 p.m., NOPD Seventh District officers responded to an aggravated battery by shooting call at the location.  Upon arrival, they found one male victim (43 years old) suffering from a gunshot wound(s).  He was transported to the hospital by NOEMS, where he later expired.   It was also determined another male victim (23 years old) suffering with a gunshot wound(s) arrived at the hospital by private conveyance. 

The initial investigation has revealed the two male victims, a father and son, were arguing; at some point, each sustained a gunshot wound.   No additional details are available at this time. 

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and release an official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
