Burglary Subject Wanted in the Eighth District

Burglary Subject Wanted in the Eighth District

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a subject wanted for a simple burglary incident that occurred on July 6, 2021.

At around 11 a.m., security cameras captured the pictured subject kick the victim and forcibly take a bag from his hands in the 2000 block of Decatur Street.  The bag contained a large sum of money and checks.  Afterward, the subject fled river bound on Elysian Fields Avenue. 

The black male subject is described as standing 5’8” tall with a thin build and short black hair.  He was wearing a white t-shirt, dark jeans, tan boots, black hat and backpack.
