NOPD Searches for Suspects in Third District Auto Burglary

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public to identify and locate a group of suspects who are wanted in connection with an auto burglary that occurred in the Third District.

The victim stated that on June 23, 2020 around 6 p.m., the vehicle was parked in her driveway, located in the 2500 block of New York Street. On the following morning, the victim noticed the rear driver-side window was shattered and the interior of the vehicle was ransacked.

During the investigation, officers reviewed surveillance video from this incident and observed a light colored pickup truck circling the block multiple times before parking near the intersection of Painters and New York streets. Surveillance video footage also revealed that three unknown males were involved in this incident. One of the subjects was also seen entering the victim’s rear yard. Investigators believe the same perpetrators entered additional driveways in the same block.
