NOPD Seeks Suspect in Second District Auto Burglary

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public to identify and locate a suspect who is wanted for his alleged involvement in a Second District auto burglary.

The victim told police that on July 5, 2019 around 5:30 p.m., a gray 2010 Toyota Tundra, bearing Louisiana handicapped license plate #H314660, arrived in the 4000 block of Vincennes Place.

An unknown black male exited the front passenger door and proceeded to the victim’s vehicle, where he began pulling on the door handle and entering the vehicle for a few seconds. The victim stated that his vehicle was ransacked and his wallet was missing.

The subject then proceeded to the victim’s second vehicle, pulled on the door handle and was unsuccessful. He then returned to the vehicle he arrived in and fled the scene.

During the investigation, officers learned that the vehicle the subject arrived in was reported stolen on July 3, 2019 from the intersection of Vincent Road and Linden Street.

Anyone that can help Second District detectives identify and locate this individual should call 504-658-6020. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
