The NOPD has arrested Murphy Lewis (DOB: 12-28-1974) in the investigation of an auto burglary on July 5, 2019, in the 400 block of North Rampart Street.
At or about 4:35 a.m., NOPD officers working on a detail for the French Quarter Task Force saw an unknown male subject – later identified as Lewis – was seen inside of the victim’s vehicle taking multiple items from the victim’s vehicle.
Murphy was arrested without incident and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for simple burglary of an automobile.
