NOPD officers are searching for a suspect who was captured on surveillance video burglarizing a vehicle located in the 2600 block of Castiglione Street.

The victim told police that on July 12, 2018, at or around 9 p.m., she parked her unlocked 2015 Nissan Armada, bearing Louisiana license plate #H356527, in front of her residence. The victim stated that at or around 3 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018, she was advised that the lights in the interior of her vehicle were left on. Upon returning to the vehicle, the victim discovered that the inside of her vehicle had been rummaged through. However, no items were reported missing from inside of the vehicle.

Officers reviewed surveillance video of this incident and observed an unknown black male subject, who appeared to be a juvenile, approach the vehicle, enter the driver seat and began searching through the vehicle before exiting. The subject then fled the scene, heading southbound on Castiglione Street.
