Suspect Wanted in Residential Burglary on Burgundy Street

Suspect Wanted in Residential Burglary on Burgundy Street

NOPD officers are searching for the pictured suspect who is wanted in connection with a residential burglary that occurred in the 900 block of Burgundy Street.

The reporting person told police he left his residence at or around 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018, and accidentally left the front door unlocked. Upon returning to the location at or around 6:15 p.m. the same day, the victim discovered his items were missing from the residence.

During the course of the investigation, officers reviewed surveillance footage from the location and observed an unknown black male enter the unlocked door at or around 6:04 p.m. on the aforementioned date, then fled the scene in possession of the victim’s property at or around 6:09 p.m.

The perpetrator reportedly stole a suitcase and a backpack that contained the victim’s personal items and several bottles of prescription medications.
