Suspect Arrested in Shooting on Jonquil Street

The NOPD and U.S. Marshals have arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male in connection with a shooting that occurred on March 15, 2018 in the 2400 block of Jonquil Street.

At about 5:43 p.m., two unknown black males were reportedly seen shooting at a residence. The victim was shot in the right upper thigh and was transport by EMS to an area hospital for treatment.

As investigation into the incident progressed, the juvenile male was developed as a suspect in this incident.

The juvenile was located in the 4500 block of Lynhuber Street on July 19, where he was placed under arrest. He was booked into the Juvenile Justice Center for aggravated battery. In addition, the suspect was also arrested in connection with two separate hit and run incidents, both occurring in April 2018.
