Suspect Arrested in Aggravated Battery on South Robertson Street

On July 25, 2018, the NOPD and U.S. Marshals arrested Donchell Jones (DOB: 11-01-1983) for her alleged involvement in an aggravated battery incident that occurred on July 18, 2018 in the 3800 block of South Robertson Street.

The victim told police that he had been in a verbal altercation with a known female later identified as Jones, after which Jones reportedly left the location. About two hours later, the victim said, Jones allegedly returned and began arguing. The confrontation became physical, the victim said, and Jones reportedly attempted to strike the victim with a pair of scissors in her fist, striking the victim on the arm. The victim said that Jones then left the location.

As investigation progressed, detectives were able to positively identify Jones as the perpetrator in this incident and obtain a warrant for her arrest.

Jones was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice center for aggravated battery.
