The NOPD is seeking to identify and locate a suspect believed to be responsible for an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred on July 1, 2018 in the 3400 block of Elysian Fields Avenue, as well as a vehicle used by the suspect in this incident.
At about 12:37 p.m., the victim was sitting at a bus stop in the area when an unknown black male wearing a peach hat and red and white strip shirt approached him. The subject then allegedly fired a gun at the victim. The victim was struck with bullet fragments in his lower back. The subject fled on foot and the victim was transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatment.
