*** Not the actual stolen vehicle ***

The NOPD is seeking assistance in identifying and locating two suspects who are wanted for their alleged involvement in an armed carjacking incident that occurred on July 24, 2018.

The victim told police that he parked his 2004 white Nissan Maxima, bearing Louisiana license plate #911BCR, in the 700 block of South Pierce Street. As he was exiting the vehicle, two unknown male subjects, dressed in white ski masks and gloves, reportedly approached him from the front and demanded that he get on the ground. The victim complied and one of the subjects allegedly displayed a small handgun and reportedly kneed the victim in the back as he was attempting to kneel on the ground. The second subject allegedly struck the victim in the head with a handgun.

The subjects reportedly stole the victim’s backpack, which contained two cameras, batteries for the cameras and battery chargers. The victim also stated that one of the subjects removed his cellphone from his hand before entering his vehicle. Both subjects fled the scene, heading southbound on Gravier Street. The victim was later transported to an area hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

If anyone encounters the pictured vehicle, or can provided any additional information regarding this incident, please notify First District detectives at 504-658-6010. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
