The NOPD is seeking to identify and locate the subject responsible for a reported armed carjacking that occurred on July 6, 2017 at the intersection of Palmer and Lasalle Streets.
At about 2 a.m., the victim was exiting her white 2006 Kia Sorento SUV, bearing Louisiana license plate #YJP500, when she was allegedly approached by an unknown black male armed with a silver handgun. The subject demanded that the victim exit the vehicle and leave her purse inside. The victim complied, and the subject entered the victim’s vehicle and fled the location.
The subject is further described as standing about 5’10” and possibly being in his 30s with a dark complexion and wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt.
