Vehicle Seen on Surveillance Sought in Shooting at Leonidas and South Claiborne

The NOPD is seeking information regarding a vehicle believed to have been involved in a shooting that occurred on July 29, 2017 at the intersection of Leonidas Street and South Claiborne Avenue.

Attached are photographs of a black sedan captured on video surveillance following a vehicle that was struck by gunfire during an aggravated assault at the location.

Following this incident, another victim arrived via private conveyance to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. Detectives determined the victim was near the location of the reported aggravated assault and had likely been struck by gunfire from the incident between the two aforementioned vehicles. With this development, the signal for the incident was changed to an aggravated battery by shooting.
