The NOPD has obtained arrest warrants for Joseph Davis (DOB: 02-14-1963) and Lakisha Dooley (DOB: 05-16-1983) in connection with a simple robbery that occurred on July 12, 2017 in the 600 block of St. Louis Street.

At about 2 p.m., video surveillance captured footage of the victim and his wife inside of a hotel elevator along with an unknown male holding a toddler, as well as an unknown female. As the elevator traveled up, the unknown female was engaged in conversation with the victim’s wife. When the elevator stopped and the doors opened, the victim’s wife exited the elevator. The unknown female then stopped in the doorway as the unknown male pushed and pinned the victim against the elevator wall. The doors closed with the unknown male, female and toddler inside with the victim as the unknown male reached into the victim’s pocket and stole the victim’s wallet. During this time, the elevator traveled to the hotel’s seventh floor, where the unknown male, female and toddler exited the elevator. The victim then informed hotel security.

During investigation, Eighth District detectives were able to develop Davis and Dooley as the alleged perpetrators in this incident.

When located, both Davis and Dooley will be charged with simple robbery and cruelty to a juvenile.
