Suspect Arrested in Burglary on St. Mary Street

On July 26, 2017, the NOPD arrested Richard Fleming (DOB: 10-14-1967) in connection with a burglary that occurred in the 900 block of St. Mary Street.

A witness had contacted police to inform them that a male subject had committed a burglary in the area, providing a description of the subject as he was exiting a residence. Officers responded to the location at about 3:30 p.m. and detained the subject, later identified as Fleming, nearby. The victim in the incident was contacted and the alleged stolen property was recovered.

Fleming was arrested and booked into Central Lockup on a charge of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
