NOPD Identifies Suspect in Armed Carjacking on Calhoun Street

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Jerrod Jacobs (DOB: 04-12-1995) in connection with an armed carjacking that occurred in the 3500 block of Calhoun Street on July 5, 2017.

The victims told police that at about 1:30 a.m., they arrived and parked their 2013 gray Toyota Corolla in the area. At that time, according to the victims, two unknown black males in hooded sweatshirts approached them, with both subjects pointing handguns at the victims and demanding they exit the vehicle and drop all belongings. The victims complied and the subjects fled the scene in the vehicle.

As investigation into the incident progressed, detectives were able to identify Jacobs as one of the suspects.
