NOPD Arrests Suspect for Gun, Drug Violations on Chef Menteur Highway

The NOPD on July 21, 2017 arrested Lawrence Williams (DOB: 03-23-1993) on gun and drug possession charges.

At about 7 p.m., Seventh District officers conducted a suspicious person stop on an individual later identified as Williams in the 14600 block of Chef Menteur Highway. The search resulted in officers discovering and confiscating a revolver handgun and nine Tramadol pills in Williams’ possession.

Williams was arrested and booked into Central Lockup for illegal carrying of a weapon and possession of narcotics while in possession of a firearm. As Williams is also a convicted felon, a he was also booked as a felon in illegal possession of a firearm.
