NOPD Arrests Four During Protest in Eighth District

The NOPD today arrested four individuals in connection with a protest that took place today (July 29, 2017) in the Eighth District.

Approximately 75 anti-fascist protestors and 50 anti-Sharia law protestors were engaged in a protest that took place in the 400 block of Esplanade Avenue. Eighth District officers responded to the protest, arresting four individuals in connection.

The four arrested individuals in this incident include:

  • Perry Stoltz-Holstein (DOB: 07-12-1988), a New Orleans resident, arrested in the 700 block of Decatur Street for disturbing the peace.
  • Peter Coene (DOB: 01-13-1988), a New Orleans resident, arrested at the intersection of St. Ann and Decatur streets for disturbing the peace.
  • Benjamin Bornstein (DOB: 02-25-1989), a New Orleans resident, was arrested at the intersection of Esplanade Avenue and Decatur Street for disturbing the peace.
  • Brody Guillory (DOB: 08-26-1986) – a resident of Opelousas, La. – was arrested in the 500 block of Esplanade Avenue on a charge of disturbing the peace.
