Juvenile Victim Suffers Injury in Shooting on Allen Street

The NOPD is investigating a shooting that wounded a 13-year-old juvenile victim this evening (July 25, 2017) in the 2300 block of Allen Street.

At about 8:07 p.m., NOPD received a call relative to an aggravated battery by shooting in the area. Upon arrival and investigation, officers learned that a 13-year-old juvenile was sitting on the front porch of a residence in the area when gunshots reportedly rang out. The juvenile suffered a possible graze wound under her right eye and was transported to an area hospital via EMS for treatment, where she is reported to be in stable condition.

Investigation into this incident is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
