Suspect Wanted for Punching Man at Bar on Magazine Street

A male victim was struck by an unknown male while at a bar in the 4800 block of Magazine Street on December 26, 2016. The NOPD is searching for the suspect in this incident, who was caught on surveillance video.

At about 10:21 p.m., the victim arrived at a bar in the area to meet a friend. A few moments after placing an order at the bar, the victim was approached by an unknown white male, who tapped the victim on the shoulder. The victim turned around, and the wanted subject struck the victim in the face with a closed fist. The victim sustained a broken bone and damage to his teeth.

The suspect is described as a white male believed to be in his mid-to-late twenties, standing approximately 5’8” with a stocky/muscular build, short dark hair and glasses. He was last seen wearing a green or olive T-shirt and possibly khaki or grey pants.
