The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Kevin Martin (DOB: 06-22-1993) in connection with pawning items reported stolen in a residence burglary in the 3500 block of Garden Oaks Drive on December 23, 2016.
Just before midnight, Fourth District officers responded to a residence burglary call in the area. In speaking with the victim, officers learned that the victim had arrived home at about 11 p.m. to find their front ajar. Upon entering the home, the victim told police, he found Christmas presents had been disturbed, his bedroom closet had been ransacked and that numerous items had been stolen from the residence including a television, tablet, jewelry and PlayStation 4 and several video games.
As investigation into the incident progressed, Martin was developed as a suspect when he was identified as the subject who pawned items that matched the stolen property.
When located, Martin will be arrested on a charge of illegal possession of stolen things.
