Residential Burglary Suspect Identified in Incident on Mithra Street

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Jacoby Simmons (DOB: 10-04-1996) in connection with a residential burglary that occurred on December 24, 2016 in the 4800 block of Mithra Street.

The victim told police that at about 10 p.m., he secured his home and left the area. The victim returned at about 11 p.m. to discover his rear door opened and $700 cash placed on his bed prior to his departure had been stolen.

In the course of the investigation, Third District detectives were able to develop Simmons as the perpetrator in this incident.

Simmons is wanted on a charge of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
